Generative AI is seemingly everywhere these days — from magazine covers generated using Dall-E 2 to text generators that turn a sentence into an entire blog post. We’ve even reached a point at which integrating a generative AI API into your own product is relatively straightforward. Want to see just how much? Our newest quest, Robocrop, is for you!
In this quest, you’ll use the recently-released public beta of a Dall-E API in order to generate product images based on the product’s name. Should someone be doing that in the real world if they’re running a marketplace? Probably not! But we don’t need to worry about the implications of an AI-driven misunderstanding.
That said, we’ve already seen some great examples of integration between the Dall-E API and a commercial product. Mixtiles, for example, uses it to generate artwork you can print and frame. Microsoft is currently in the process of launching a new design software, Microsoft Designer, that will also use this API.
